K-Cook Delight: Hamul Pajeon Day (Aug 31)
Saturday, August 31, was another wonderful experience for the participants of K-Cook Delight. We gathered and learned how to make Hamul Pajeon – the third and final traditional dish of Korea that our program wished to introduce, after Bibimbap and Japchae a few weeks ago.
Pajeon is often marketed as a “Korean pancake” because it is created from a batter of eggs and flour. Additional ingredients usually include green onions, shellfish, seafood, and other vegetables. The Hamul Pajeon that participants created was seafood-based. This dish is a very popular appetizer or snack and is usually served with dipping sauce (created from a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar).
